Continental Cup day 2 brings more upsets

Day 2 of Continental Cup action was full of even more upsets today (November 17).

In group D; Sheffield snuck out a 5-4 win over Rungsted. Former Swift Current Bronco Levi Nelson had 2+1 for the Steelers. Yunost Minsk humbled the Latvian reps Kurbads 4-2. Viktor Turkin had 1+2 for a three point night.

In group E; Hungarian side DVTK Jegesmedvek Miskolc and their stingy defensive defeated Grenoble 2-1. Janos Vas had the OT winner for the Hungarian squad. Nomad Astana knocked off Ritten Sports 3-1. Yaroslav Yevdokimov had 2 goals in the win.

Miskolc and Minsk remain the only undefeated teams so far through two days and are looking like front runners to advance to the final round in January.
