World Hockey Report NCAA D1 Rankings Week 18

#1 Cornell – Wins over Harvard and Dartmouth

Massive hattrick by Anthony Angello against Harvard and freshman Matthew Galajda  shut the door all weekend. Who can beat the nerds? Well right now no one.

#2 Minn State – defeated USNDPT

Easy weekend for the Mavs but I still like what I’ve seen out of this group. Alaska Anchorage coming up at home this weekend so they could make a statement.

#3 Ohio State – WATCH.THESE.GUYS. I haven’t paid much attention to the Buckeyes this season but strong goaltending and Laczynski (36 pts) is making mincemeat of the Big 10.

#4 Notre Dame – split with Minnesota

Two close games, offence looked disappointing for a top five team but I respect the defensive side. Cale Morris is looking awesome between the pipes and giving his team a chance to win every night.

#5 Clarkson – 3/4 possible points

Some people (crazy ones) do still have the Golden Knights at #1 in their rankings but cmon…. This team did tie Brown this weekend. Luckily enough they put on a good performance against Yale, thanks to Sheldon Rempal’s two bingos. If Northeastern didn’t suck on the road we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
