Why Vegas could sweep Winnipeg

The conference final in the west could be a quick one.

Saturday night when the Vegas Golden Knights head to Winnipeg for Game 1, the hockey world has no clue what to expect. Are the Jets a good hockey team? Yes. Are they better than Vegas? No.

The Golden Knights have had the best goaltending in the 2018 playoffs with out a doubt. If Fleury can continue his tear and outperform Hellebuyck, this series will be over quick.

Offensively, clearly the white out wonders have the upper hand in star power, but up to date, the VGK give zero f*cks about star power. How’s golfing Drew Doughty, Jonathan Quick, Anze Kopitar, Evander Kane, Martin Jones, Brent Burns?

Vegas’ defence will have to take their game to another level for the sweep to happen. They’ve only allowed 18 total goals through 10 playoff games, which is really good….. but not great. You need to be great at this time of year and Schmidt, Engelland, McNabb, Theodore, Sbisa and Miller will have to up their game even more.

What makes me #HotTake a Vegas sweep? Winnipeg is gassed, a seven game marathon vs a solid Nashville team, less than 48 hours of rest and an eager VGK squad could lead for trouble early in the Peg. (*cough* *cough* Game 1 vs San Jose 7-0)
