Are the Colorado Eagles too good for the ECHL?

Yes.

Back to Back ECHL Kelly Cup Champs, (Game 7 thriller, 3-2 win over Florida) the Colorado Eagles are working their way up the ladder.

In almost European promotional fashion, the Eagles will be moving up to the AHL next season, to be the affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche.

According to the AHL, nearly 90% of all NHLers have spent time in the minors, so having top prospects play at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland seems genius. Close to the big club and not terribly far travel in the always hungry league.

Seems like a great place for Klim Kostin, Adam Musil, Conner Bleakley and Spencer Martin to develop.

Well done Kroenke’s, I like the move.
