Team Canada advances to Spengler Cup semis

It was a dominant performance Friday for the Canadians.

Team Canada dominated the Nuremberg Ice Tigers in a 6-2 victory at the Spengler Cup.

Boston University’s Dante Fabbro was a beast with two goals, while former Sicamous Eagle Andrew Ebbett led the forward group. Daniel Winnik, Zac Dalpe and Dion Knelson also had goals in the win.

It was a dominant win from start to finish. Zach Fucale went most of the game untested, while having minimal chance on the second goal he allowed, as his own defenceman tipped it in.

Nuremberg looks gassed and outmatched at this tournament, and pending the roster Magnitogorsk dresses tomorrow, the quarterfinals could be very similar.
