WHL Power Rankings: Jan 14

WHL Power Rankings

  1. Prince Albert

Hard to argue with a team that has been ranked 1 for the entire year. Lost 3 of 6 at home but beat Portland in a tight game Friday.

  1. Everett

Same old song, good defensively and don’t give much. Top team in the West but Portland is right on their heels

  1. Portland

Probably the best offense in the WHL. Cody Glass and Joachim Blichfeld are lighting up the league. Goaltending is no longer an issue after giving 6 draft picks for Joel Hofer.

4. Saskatoon

Held their own without Kirby Dach and has a new linemate in Ryan Hughes. Easy schedule in the next 5 games playing Regina 3 times and Swift Current 2.

  1. Vancouver

Was a little disappointed in the lack of moves from the Giants at the deadline. Best team in a weak BC division.
