TRADE: Winnipeg finds new second line centre

A former Boston College star is on the move.

The New York Rangers have traded Kevin Hayes to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for a 2019 1st round pick and Brendan Lemieux.

Hayes has a cap hit of just over $5M and has 14 goals and 28 assists this season. Lemieux is a former second rounder (2014) with 11 points in 44 games.

Hard to argue that the Jets didn’t win this deal. Good acquisition for a very fair price.
