RUSSIA-2 CANADA-1 Win and you play Slovakia, lose and you have a much tougher task against USA or Finland. Well the US beat Finland and that will be Canada’s Quarterfinal opponent. To start off, anytime your Captain is diving around and embarrassing himself. You don’t deserve to win. Max Comtois dove for the 5th time in 4 games and you’d have to assume he’s getting … Continue reading Canada loses to Russia and draws Finland
CANADA-5 CZECH REPUBLIC- 1 Well it wasn’t a dominant performance, but it was never really in doubt. Canada lead 3-1 after the 1st period and never looked back. A dicey start to the 2nd period which was saved by a few good stops by Mikey Dipietro who will start the rest of the way barring any poor performances. The 2nd period was saved by Mackenzie … Continue reading Canada Moves to 3-0

So who is prepped for making some magic at the tournament … Continue reading Goalies to Watch at the World Juniors

Unlike past top picks, Hughes is playing for the US NTDP which is a step lower than College and the CHL. He’ll be USA’s top forward and brother Quinn (VAN) will be the go to defensemen. Being compared to Patrick Kane. Kaapo Kakko, Finland- Consensus … Continue reading Non-Canadian Players to Watch
